Let’s Die Empty.
(LET’S BEGIN TO GIVE AND CHOOSE TO DIE EMPTY)
God lavishes us with love & gives generously. He supplies ‘seed to the sower’. Originally supply is a Greek word & it means ‘to lead to a dance’. But how do we use God’s gifts?
John Davis, erected several large gravestones in Mount Hope Cemetery; Kansas. He began his working life as a lowly hired hand & managed to amass a considerable fortune. He didn’t have much friends, nor was he’s close to his wife’s family, since they thought she had married beneath herself. When his wife died, Davis erected a statue depicting himself & her sitting at opposite ends of a love seat. He was so pleased with, he planned a second monument, showing his wife kneeling to place a wreath at his future graveside. He spent a quarter-of-a-million dollars on tributes to his wife & himself.
When people asked him to contribute for charity, the miser reacted like “What’s this town ever done for me”? Davis spent his life’s fortune on statues & died at 92 as a lonely, grim-faced man. Oh, by the way, only one person attended Davis’s funeral. Each monument of the self-centered man slowly sinking into the Kansas soil- victims of time.
Most of us live with a stubborn idea that we’ll have tomorrow. But sooner or later, all of our tomorrows run out. Do we know, cemetery is the richest land of the world , as millions of people have departed with many valuable ideas that could have enrich the society. But all those are buried.
Let’s not go to the grave with our best work inside. Let’s choose to die empty. Any idea we’ve , let’s perform it,any knowledge, let’s give it out.
“Let’s begin to give and choose to die empty.”
